Ploj AB (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the Ploj mobile application (“the App”).1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to operate and improve the App:
Parent Account Information
– Parent’s name, email address, login credentials
Child Profiles
– Information entered by the Parent (child’s first name or nickname, profile picture, challenge progress)
User-Generated Content
– Photos, notes or other material uploaded by the Parent as proof of completed challenges (visible only to the Parent who uploaded it)
Usage & Technical Data
– App interactions, device type, operating system, language, crash logs and analytics (to improve stability)
Payment & Subscription Data
– Subscription status and billing details handled securely by Apple App Store or Google Play
– We do not store or process credit card numbers ourselves
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Provide and maintain the App’s core functionality
Enable Parents to create and manage child profiles
Track challenge participation and earned screen time
Send important notices, support responses and App updates
Improve, test and develop new features
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
We do not use children’s data for marketing or advertising purposes.
3. Legal Basis Under GDPR
Depending on the situation, we process your data on one or more of the following bases:
Performance of a contract (to provide the App)
Consent (when you upload photos or notes or opt into marketing emails)
Legitimate interest (basic analytics, security, App improvement)
Legal obligations (accounting, tax, safety)
4. Data Sharing and Processors
We do not sell personal data. We only share information with the following trusted third-party service providers:
Google Firebase (Google LLC) – used for analytics, crash reporting (Crashlytics), and backend infrastructure. Data is stored on servers located in the European Economic Area (EEA).
Google Play Billing / Apple App Store – used to process subscriptions and payments. We do not process or store payment card information ourselves.
These providers act as data processors under our instructions and are bound by data processing agreements.

With legal authorities if required by law
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
5. International Users
Although Ploj AB is based in Sweden, the App may be used globally. Whenever data leaves the EU/EEA, we ensure adequate protection through:
Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or
Other legally recognised safeguards
6. Data Retention
Active Accounts:
We retain account and profile data as long as your account is active.
Inactive Accounts:
We delete or anonymise personal data after 24 months of inactivity (or sooner if requested).
User-Generated Content:
Deleted immediately when the Parent deletes it or within 30 days after account deletion.
7. Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by:

All personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
8. Data Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:
Encryption of data in transit and at rest
Limited access based on role
Regular security testing and monitoring
9. Children’s Privacy
Ploj is designed for children to use under parental supervision.
Only Parents/Legal Guardians may create accounts; children cannot register independently
All challenge-related uploads are restricted to the Parent account and are not shared with third parties
U.S. Users: We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We collect personal information from children only through their Parent’s verified account and use it solely to provide the App’s functions. Parents may review and delete their child’s information at any time.
All personal data related to children is:
Provided by the Parent or Legal Guardian
Controlled through the Parent account
Never used for advertising, profiling, or behavioural tracking
10. Tracking Technologies
The App does not use browser cookies. However, like most mobile applications, it may use similar technologies to ensure the App functions correctly and to improve your experience.
These can include:
Local storage on your device (to keep you signed in or store preferences)
Analytics tools (such as Google Firebase Analytics) to understand how features are used and to improve performance
We only use minimal device and technical information necessary to operate the App, ensure security, and improve performance.
We do not use device identifiers for:
Advertising
Cross-app tracking
User profiling
We do not use these technologies for advertising or profiling without your consent.
You can manage or reset permissions in your device settings at any time.
11. Your Rights Under GDPR (and other applicable laws)
You have the right to:
Access the data we hold about you
Correct inaccuracies
Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”)
Object to certain processing or withdraw consent
Data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format)
